Lolli is ready to find her forever home! If you're an active family, looking for a loyal and energetic companion, Lolli might be the perfect fit for you! This sweet girl currently weighs about 60 lbs, is spayed, potty-trained and loves her crate! DNA testing and a training assessment have been done and the results are in!

Assessment Notes from our trainer:

Lolli is now 11 months old, excellent in the crate, good with other dogs that can "fairly" correct her.  From my time with Lolli, her biggest area that needs growth is her boundaries and self control. She was jumping a lot because of her over-excitement. She played well, and with enthusiasm. She is such a sweetheart and definitely still has that puppy energy and excitement. During play, she was gentle and easy to take toys from. She dropped the toys willingly and looked to me to continue the games. We started with fetch and moved to a game of tug. I asked for some obedience from her and showed her the value in checking in and looking at the handler - that went great. I asked similar obedience on our walk and had great responses.

We also walked towards the main road and she had little to no interest in cars passing by. She saw a few neighbors and just casually continued her walk, she was in a harness and flat collar and didn't pull that much either. Seems to be reasonably environmentally stable, a trash can flipped up loudly on our walk and she wasn't phased, as well as neighbor dogs barking and just kept going. I believe she is in need of outlets for her energy, but not just a 10 mi walk, she needs to play, and use her brain, and that will allow her to make relationships and connections with the humans/handlers around her. She is an energetic young dog, so other dogs in the home would help outlet that social need, but I think constructive games with rules and boundaries are crucial to teaching her life skills on controlling and managing her enthusiasm and energy. 

Lolli was pretty easy to redirect when I was with her, or her foster mom handling her in the house. I know it was a short glimpse, but I take that as a positive. When she gets a hang of the household routine or rules, I'm sure she could thrive if someone gives her the patience and consistency a young dog needs. I also believe that constructive play is a great way to check a lot of boxes for Lolli, she will learn how to follow guidance, control her impulses, and burn energy all in one. She is so sweet and just needs an outlet for that energy that I understand has been a concern for some.

We recommend Lolli go to a home without small animals or small children, with another dog(s) that can fairly show her the rules, and an owner who has the time and patience she deserves. Using play she enjoys can be a great way to release the energy and grow a strong and constructive relationship with the handler. (Our trainer is happy to help if need be.) A fenced in yard is strongly encouraged, and a good daycare could also be very helpful for Lolli’s success.

Our adoption fee is $400 which includes age-appropriate vaccines (such as Distemper, Bordetella, Parvo, and Rabies), neutering, worming, microchipping, and health exam. Discount vouchers for training, grooming, and similar dog-related products and services are provided
