Meet Rex! Rex is searching for a new home - no fault of his own. His current owners are in poor health and looking to move into assisted living. He needs help quickly. Rex would do best in a home with another dog and/or cat, as he’s used to living with other animals. Young children would be too energetic for Rex, but we think he could do well with older, gentle children.
Rex is 6 years old and is guessed to be a Shepard/Husky mix. Rex is a shy and gentle guy who appreciates having time to warm up to new people and situations. His sweet nature shines through once he’s comfortable. Rex is highly food motivated which makes training easier. If you have treats, you are an immediate friend. He knows “sit”, “paw” and “gentle”. Rex has mostly been in a fenced area, so he will need support and training with his leash walking.
Rex has lived a quiet life, so he still gets a little nervous in unfamiliar environments or with new people. He's best introduced slowly and given time to adjust at his own speed. Rex is not aggressive; he is a sensitive boy who is unsure of himself. He’s still figuring out how to navigate the outside world. He can jump when excited, but with the right training, he'll quickly learn to keep all four paws on the ground!
Rex is ready to bond with a new family who can support him through his journey of becoming the confident, happy pup we know he can be!
We highly recommend training classes for all of our dogs to get everyone off to a great start. Training recommendations are available.
Our adoption fee is $400 which includes age-appropriate vaccines (such as Distemper, Bordetella, Parvo, and Rabies), neutering, worming, microchipping, and health exam. Discount vouchers for training, grooming, and similar dog-related products and services are provided
